[/i][/COLOR][/size][/font][/CENTER]LIKES: classes, girls, reading, being in charge, himself, quidditch, rain, flying, potions, hook ups.
DISLIKES: obnoxious people, the foreign students, unintelligent people...just most people, failing at anything, relationships, animals, authority, talking about 'feelings' or serious things, his parents, the idea of 'love'.
WEAKNESSES: Charms, Friendships, Relationships
STRENGTHS: Quidditch, Girls, School
FEARS: Opening up to someone and being hurt.
PERSONALITY:
Mace hates his parents, although they spoiled him and their high expectations caused him to succeed and push himself in life, he will never forget the little girl. His parents are the cause of his fear of being close to anyone, he closes himself off, because once you opened up and got close with someone you opened the chance to be hurt.
He is a cocky guy, he thinks of himself as better than almost everyone. Most people annoy him easily, he finds most of his companions in school to be unintelligent and naive. Few people are worth his time, although Mace has found some who actually are. He does enjoy girls, although if they attempt to talk or do anything besides hooking up, he ditches. Most of them are annoying, the only time he can stand them is with their clothing off.
Finding most people to be annoying, he ignores almost everyone. He isn't one to get into confrontations unless the person starts them. He'd prefer to just ignore people he dislikes, they aren't even worth an argument. Most people see him as quiet and shut down, he never shows emotion. Even with his close friends, he has yet to truly open up to anyone, no matter how close they may seem.
Mason comes off as an asshole, he IS an asshole, but he isn't as nasty or hating as most people assume. They judge because he is rather quiet and doesn't bother with them, no one really knows him. While he finds others beneath him and rather annoying, he would never physically harm another. He rather be peaceful, fighting at all is no fun, which is why he ignores most people.
If confronted, he is rather good at hurting feelings though, seeing as his opinion of the person is usually negative.

HISTORY: When Mace was six, he went through a phase where he would sneak away from home to the river near town. It was like an adventure, he didn't know better. One day he meant a young girl, she looked about his age, he didn't know children his age. Excited, he quickly began to play with the young girl, splashing from the river and playing tag.
His father had gone to look for him, only to discover his only child playing with a muggle. It was infuriating, disgusting to see his son play with such a thing. He knew he would have to teach his son a lesson, pulling Mace to the side, he forced his six year old son to watch him use the cruciatus on the young muggle girl. Forced him to listen to her screams, until finally with a bright green light, he silenced her forever.
Mason's parents pushed him to do everything perfectly in his life, which is why he pushes himself to succeed. Ultimately this is a positive thing, because he is a successful person who knows he will go somewhere with his life. The negative is that his parents were harsh, as a child he feared his father, especially after the 'incident' which he blocks from his mind. There is something traumatizing about seeing a little girl's lifeless body, especially when it was at the hands of your father. No one has ever known of this because he has yet to truly open up to anyone.
He never shared his parent's opinion on muggles, rather he formed his own upon realizing that even purebloods could be annoying and not worth his time. He doesn't judge by blood status, just by intelligence and personality. While he is proud and rather cocky, like his father, he seems to be more intelligent and has a more open view of the world. Even muggleborns could be worth his time, if only they aren't annoying, giggling twits.
Hogwarts was nothing exciting to him, he was sorted into Slytherin, did wonderful in his classes. He kept mostly to himself, even now in his sixth year most people don't truly know anything about him. When he joined the quidditch team, his team mates attempted to bond, he mostly ignored them and focused on the sport itself.
Last year he found interest in a fellow student, she was not like most Hufflepuffs, although it started out as interest in sex. It has blossomed into a friendship, the closest he has had to trusting someone, although he doesn't believe he'll ever truly trust even her. They hook up and are the closest Mace has to a best friend. Not being the jealous type or one for a relationship, their situation works out well, friends who just enjoy sex should be able to share it together with out complications. The though of having feelings for her has never crossed his mind, he doesn't think about things like that, because it reminds him why he doesn't trust others.
