CAN'T CAPTURE MY HEART
HOGSMEADE WEEKENDS SEEMED TO CONSIST OF THE HAPPIEST TIMES FOR MISS GEMMA LEANNE FINNIGAN. SHE DIDN'T NORMALLY PLAY NICE WITH OTHERS, BUT IF SHE GOT DRUNK ENOUGH, SHE'D BE A BIT NICER. OR NOT. IT DEPENDED WHO WAS AROUND, REALLY. THAT NIGHT, SHE WAS COMPLETELY WASTED. GEM SAT IN THE THREE BROOMSTICKS WITH THREE OTHER GIRLS AND FOUR GUYS, SHARING A BOOTH THAT REALLY SHOULD HAVE ONLY SAT 4 OF THEM TOTAL. SHE WAS SITTING ON ONE OF THE GUY'S LAPS, HER ARM WRAPPED AROUND HIS SHOULDER WHILE HER OTHER KEPT REACHING FOR AND PLACING BACK HER GLASS OF FIRE WHISKEY. SHE WASN'T OLD ENOUGH TO ORDER IT, HOWEVER, THE BOYS WERE. IT WAS A GOOD THING TO HAVE GOOD LOOKS FOR THOSE TYPES OF REASONS.
SHE LAUGHED AS THEY CONVERSED, BUT EVENTUALLY GOT BORED. GEMMA STOOD AND LEANED OVER THE GUY ON THE OUTSIDE TO GRAB THE GUY SHE'D BEEN SITTING WITH'S SHIRT COLLAR. GEM LEANED CLOSER TO HIM, PULLING HIM IN, AND KISSED HIM VIGOROUSLY. SHE FINALLY RELAXED AND LET HIM GO, THEN CHUCKLED TO HERSELF AS SHE BEGAN WALKING AWAY. SHE TURNED ON HER HEEL AND BLEW THEM ALL A KISS, THEN WINKED, TURNED ONCE MORE, AND HEADED OUT THE DOOR. SHE KNEW HER FRIENDS WOULD EVENTUALLY TRY AND COME FIND HER, SINCE SHE WAS SO DRUNK, BUT HEY - SHE WASN'T GOING TO BE CONFINED TO ONE AREA OF THE VILLAGE IF SHE DIDN'T WANT TO.
THE SIXTEEN YEAR OLD WALKED UNTIL SHE FOUND THE FOUNTAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VILLAGE. IT HAD BEEN BUILT THERE YEARS BEFORE, AND STANDING IN THE MIDDLE WAS AN OLDER MAN WITH A PHOENIX ON HIS SHOULDER, AND A YOUNGER MAN BESIDE HIM. SHE KNEW THESE WERE THE TWO PREVIOUS HEADMASTERS BEFORE THE CURRENT. SHE SHRUGGED OFF THEIR APPEARANCE, THOUGH - NOT WANTING TO REALLY THINK OF HOGWARTS AT THAT POINT. SHE LEANED ON THE FOUNTAIN AND THOUGHT TO HERSELF, THEN LAUGHED AS SHE SLIPPED OFF HER HEELS AND CLIMBED IN. SHE SAT ON THE EDGE AND SWISHED HER FEET BACK AND FORTH, STARING AT HER REFLECTION AS SHE HOPED PROFESSORS WOULD PASS WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING. SHE WAS QUITE ENJOYING HERSELF, REALLY.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: GEMMA FINNIGAN WORDS: 405 ONE LAST THING: xD
One of the best qualities about James Potter was the fact that he was a manipulator, or a persuader. Yeah, that sounded nicer. He was able to persuade people to do his bidding; it was so easy. Aberforth Dumbledore was the brother of the headmaster of Hogwarts during his father's time, and the namesake of his younger brother. James first made the decision to go to the Hog's Head instead of the Three Broomsticks when he overheard some older boys saying Aberforth was more lenient with giving away firewhiskey. Happily, James went there instead of the popular hang out at Hogsmeade. He found quickly that all he had to do was ask for a glass of firewhiskey, and Aberforth was more than happy to serve him some. He visited more frequently and soon became a regular.
That night was no different. James was enjoying a large glass of firewhiskey with a girl a year or two out of Hogwarts. He recognized her from a few years back. They were talking, and although the conversation was nice, James wasn't interested in just small talk. When he leaned forward to kiss her, he was stunned to see her pull away. Of course, twenty minutes into the conversation she would suddenly remember she had a steady boyfriend and was unavailable. She was just using James to pass time until her boyfriend came. And sure enough, he did. James sauntered off, ordering another drink at the bar. There were not many other pretty girls in the Hog's Head. More so shady characters, or cackling witches. Uninterested, he down the rest of his drink and exited the pub.
James wasn't wasted, just a little dizzy and his head was clouded up. He roamed around the streets of Hogsmeade until he saw a strange scene in front of him. Two vaguely familiar, older men stood with a phoenix near the fountain. They shared curious and displeased expressions as they glanced at the fountain. It wasn't until James stumbled closer did he see a girl playing in it. But it wasn't just a girl, it was Gemma Finnigan. James couldn't hold in a drunken laugh at the sight of one of the people he wasn't on good terms with acting like a fool. Before long, the two men rolled their eyes and shuffled off. James snickered again before approaching Gemma. "Hey Finnigan… you really are a piece of work." He said tauntingly. tell me that we both matter dont we

CAN'T CAPTURE MY HEART
GEMMA CONTINUED TO SPLASH IN THE FOUNTAIN, THOUGH REMAINING TO SIT AND THINK ABOUT HER LIFE. SHE DIDN'T HAVE REMORSE FOR BREAKING HEARTS OR BEING WILD AND CRAZY. SHE HAD NO RESPONSIBILITY AND THAT'S HOW SHE WANTED TO REMEMBER HER CHILD AND TEENAGEHOOD. GEM REALIZED AT A YOUNG AGE THAT SHE WOULDN'T STAY YOUNG. SHE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO RUN AROUND AND DO WHATEVER THE HELL SHE WANTED WHEN SHE WAS AN ADULT. SO, INSTEAD OF GROWING UP AND BEING MATURE ABOUT THINGS, GEM SAID FUCK IT AND DID WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY TIME SHE'D BE ABLE TO DO IT AGAIN. THAT WAS THE ONLY DOWNFALL TO GETTING DRUNK AND DOING WILD THINGS - SHE HARDLY EVER REMEMBERED THOSE BLESSED GOOD TIMES.
SHE SUDDENLY LOOKED AROUND AFTER HEARING A LAUGH, AND WORDS THAT IMPLIED SHE WAS WORTHLESS. "JAMES FREAKING POTTER...YOU WOULD FIND ME, EH? CAN'T STAY AWAY CAN YA?" SHE SAID LOUDLY, SNICKERING. SHE STOOD UP, HER FEET STILL IN THE WATER, AND LEANED BACKWARDS ON THE FIGURES OF THE FOUNTAIN, SMILING AT HIM. SHE CROSSED HER ARMS OVER HER CHEST AND SMILED, LICKING HER LIPS. "I-I KNOW YOU WANT ME, JAMES," SHE SEETHED, PURSING HER LIPS. WHO COULD HE NOT? EVERYONE WANTED HER.
