mother: Hannah Abbott
brothers: None
sisters: None
other: Many family friends
history:
Before Celeste was born, Neville and Hannah weren't even sure they wanted kids, but when Hannah was found to be pregnant, they were thrilled with the idea of starting a family. They had to move out of the Leaky Cauldron and move to a more kid-friendly place in London. After Celeste's birth, they said they adored their new baby girl, but they didn't want to have any more kids. This was mostly because Hannah had to raise Celeste alone while Neville was teaching at Hogwarts during the school year.
As an only child, Celeste was spoiled by her parents, her mother in particular. She was a daddy's girl though because she admired him so much after hearing of the stories of the Battle of Hogwarts and his other adventures with his friend Harry Potter. He taught her many things, which have proven to build Celeste as a person. Of course, since he worked at Hogwarts, there was limited time she could spend with her father before she began attending Hogwarts.
Also, the Longbottom and Abbott families are very small. Neville was an only child who grew up with his grandmother who passed away a few years prior to Celeste's birth. His parents were in St. Mungos because of their torture a few decades ago. She has gone with her father to visit them many times, but they don't understand who she is. Hannah was also an only child, and her mother was killed by death eaters while Hannah was in school. Celeste grew accustomed to having a small family so it didn't bother her much. It was simply what she was used to so she never really envied larger families.
Before starting at Hogwarts, Celeste had a limited number of friends. She didn't attend muggle school, so there were no opportunities for her to befriend any muggles. Mostly her friends consisted of family friends of her parents. Lucky for her though, that families such as the Potters, the Weasleys, and others had children around her age. She was thrilled when she received her acceptance letter; she wanted to meet all kinds of different wizards and witches. Plus, she looked forward to using magic.
Celeste went through her first few years of Hogwarts without too much excitement. She never got into playing Quidditch, though she really enjoys watching her house team play. She also did an average job in her classes until around her fourth year when she began getting nervous over her grades and panicking over not knowing things. This has increased greatly now that she's a fifth year and must take her O.W.L.s this year. She doesn't worry about Herbology or Transfiguration a bit though. Her parents are both Herbologists after all, so she's been amongst dozens and dozens of wizarding plants her whole life. Also, Transfiguration comes naturally to her, more than likely because it involves more of the concentration of turning something into something else, as opposed to learning a large number of incantations.
Celeste has gotten into a few fights during her time at Hogwarts. After all, when you stick up for your friends against some more experienced wizards, you can't expect to win every battle. She has spent time in the Hospital Wing before for some injuries, but she's never had to stay in there longer than overnight. She sort of has a reputation as being a loyal friend who will defend her friends through thick and thin, and she's very proud of that reputation because that's the kind of person she strives to be all the time.

A sigh escaped Lily's lips. The only negative thing to her about being a Potter was all the high expectations that were put on her. She couldn't be angry with her father though. He himself didn't choose to be The Chosen One. It wasn't really his fault that he was a hero; it was his duty to defeat Voldemort. Though she has always been proud to be his daughter, she hates the pressure she's always been under to be just as great as her father. And as everybody knows, that may very well be impossible. But apparently, any child of the greatest wizard of all time has to be just a notch below him talent wise, right? That's the way it seemed; everyone she knew expected her to either be a star Quidditch player or a fantastic auror who slays dark wizards on a daily business. Lily, however, has always wanted to live more simply.
Lily laced up her Quidditch boots as she glanced around the tent at her teammates. She could see the excitement on everyone's face. Meanwhile, her face spelled nerves. After all, this was the game for the Quidditch Cup, and her parents would be watching. She felt as though since this was her final year, Gryffindor must win. This was why seventh year was proving to be very difficult for her. Not only did she have her upcoming N.E.W.T.s to worry about, but she was also expected to aid in bringing the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory over Slytherin. Not only was it expected of her, but she also wanted it extremely bad for herself. She wanted her father to brag about how Lily was the star chaser on the team who won the Quidditch Cup, just as he had done with Lily's brothers before her. That's another thing... Being the youngest Potter sucked more than being older. Her whole family was talented and wonderful; Lily felt mediocre in comparison. Not to mention that being the only girl was difficult as well - everyone says girls are smarter than boys, so having higher grades than her brothers was a must.
A large gust of wind blew into the Gryffindor tent from out of nowhere. A chill ran up her spine, but she couldn't be sure if it was the sudden weather change or her building nerves. Shoot. Something else to make this game more difficult, she thought in response to the storm brewing outside. It was times like these that made her glad she wasn't the team captain. She felt enough pressure already. Though she had no desire to be captain in the first place. For one, she doesn't really enjoy upholding a leadership position. Too much coercion, you know. Plus, she really just played Quidditch more for fun; up until this game, she didn't worry to much about whether a game would end in a victory or a loss. It would also be more heartbreaking to the fans to see the team lose if Lily was in charge of the team's training.
The rest of the team had taken a seat to listen to the captain's peptalk. Lily sat down next to one of her fellow chasers. The whole team held hands as the captain talked about how important this game was and blah blah blah. Lily really didn't listen. She already knew the importance more than anyone else. This would help to either make or break her reputation as a Potter. She would do anything she could to score numerous goals and make everyone watching proud. This included: her parents, the headmaster, her head of house, all of her professors, her friends, her enemies, all of her classmates, the minister of magic, and anyone else sitting in the stands. She knew all eyes would be on her today. Oh dear, she actually hadn't though of that too much. Her stomach began doing flips as she took a deep breath to calm herself.
Then it was time. The headmaster called the team out onto the field. The Gryffindor Quidditch team walked out onto the field together and began staring down the opposing Slytherin team. Lily caught the eye of a Slytherin chaser. The girl raised her eyebrows at Lily, as though she thought Lily wasn't going to be a difficult opponent. Lily smirked and took a glance up at the visitors box where her parents, Harry and Ginny Potter, were beaming at her. She glared once more at the opposing chaser. Bring it.
